Set The Hook will do whatever possible to leave you with a memorable and once in a lifetime fishing experience. Please communicate your timing and goals with Set The Hook prior to booking. We will do whatever possible to exceed your expectations however guarantees are not given. If conditions are safe the charter will proceed even if a particular species can not be targeted in certain conditions.
We are committed to fishing sustainability and creating a minimal environmental impact. We therefore, where possible, follow the Australian National Sportfishing Association guidelines for the catch and release of fish. We encourage taking only enough fish for a feed. Every charter is personalised to your fishing requirements.
A maximum of 4 anglers is recommended.
All rates are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax). Prices quoted are subject to availability.
All charters are fully guided. All tackle bait and fishing gear supplied whilst on board.
Drinking water, Soft drinks, morning tea and a light lunch are provided. On live aboard excursions, all meals including evening tea are provided. Please provide us with dietary restrictions and allergy information when booking your reservation and we will happily accommodate your dietary needs.
Complementary pick up and drop off from your accommodation in Exmouth town site is available subject to request and availability.
Alcohol is not supplied, it is on a bring your own basis, within reasonable limits.
Any access fees are additional to charter cost (generally around $20 for access via stations or DPAW lands).
Terms & Conditions
20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. No booking is confirmed until deposit is received.
Final balance of payment is due 30 days prior to departure.
Loss or damage to tackle will incur additional replacement costs.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
As a small operator, our business depends on maximising our bookings and cancellations often result in empty calendar dates. Cancellation of your reservation must be notified to us in writing and will take effect on the day we receive it.
If your booking is cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure, Set The Hook will retain the full charter fee, unless the booking can be filled by another client.
If booking is cancelled greater than 30 days before departure then the deposit is non-refundable but transferable to another day.
The Captain reserves the right to cancel or postpone a trip due to inclement weather or any other circumstances beyond their control at any time, see 'Force Majeure' section below.
Set The Hook takes all care but accept no responsibility or liability for personal injury/illness or harm whilst on tour, such as sea sickness and no refund will be given.

Unforeseen circumstances may result in you having to change your plans or even cancel at the last moment. To protect non-refundable deposits and payments we strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This is available from travel agents, some health care and credit card companies, and via various websites.
We STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance including a cancellation policy and emergency medical care. Please be sure to consider such things as pre-existing medical conditions, valuable items and that the policy is right for you.
‘Force Majeure’ means (without restriction) any event that Set The Hook could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Renlyn Australia Pty. Ltd. (Set The Hook) will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.
It is up to the discretion of the skipper and Set The Hook as to whether conditions are considers safe. If it is deemed unsafe, then the charter will be rescheduled if possible. If this is not possible, a refund less deposit and fees*, will be arranged.
*Fees are defined as but not limited to: DPAW entrance fees, agent fees, credit card processing, etc.
From time to time as part of our marketing strategy we will offer specials and discounts. Unfortunately these will not apply to existing bookings. Whilst we apologise for any disappointment caused we do liken it to airfares and other goods which may go on sale after you have purchased them.
Gift certificates are valid and must be used within 12 months of the date of issue. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, nor are they transferable. The purchaser of the gift certificate can purchase a specific value of credit or type of charter. Gift certificates are relevant to the vessel nominated at the time of purchase. Use of gift certificates is subject to availability.
Third Party Arrangements
If you have booked some of your flights directly with the airline or travel agency, please be sure to advise us of any flight changes (timings, numbers etc.) and please be sure to check that your final itinerary has the details correctly noted. Set The Hook will not be responsible for transfers, accommodation, tour planning or for any travel arrangements that are effected by flights not booked and ticketed by our office. Set The Hook does not take responsibility for any third party services which are delayed due to reasons beyond our control.
